Well I have one thing to say..I don`t play flutel (flute..some ppl call it flutel..I do)...BUT!!! I do know that harmonics and pitched harmonics are the highest notes. On the violin..which I play the harmonics are past the bridge. The high notes are so subtle (faint) that you can barely hear them, especially when you put the fingers on the strings past the bridge. Well good luck on your search. Hope that helped.

There is a note above high c, but it was banned by the Geneva convention under the statutes dealing with disabling weapons (same thing that covers blinding lasers and ultrasonic weapons designed to deafen soldiers). Well, at least thats what they tell me.

It`s an F. No one I know can tell me the fingering, but it`s the highest known pitch played on the modern flute.

According to this flute method book I have, the highest note is a "F." It`s above the high high "c," if you know what I mean. My teacher got it out once when I showed it to her, but I haven`t really tried it.
