All of you are a bunch of pathetic losers! Give me a break!! You obviously don`t have a clue on what you are talking about. Fluteloops is the only one that has some sense.
As for the rest of you babies, grow up and get a clue what you are talking about and stop spouting off your mouth untill you know your facts.

I have been watching silently for some time, and I feel that you all really should know that there *are* professional players who are seeing the things that you are writing.

I realize many of you are quite young, and can be very, shall we say, "enthusiastic" about your playing and the knowledge that you have thus far acquired, but please realize that there are many, many highly trained people who would be happy to *add* to this base of knowledge and perhaps correct any misinformation you may have, if you will present it in a civilized manner.

That said, carry on and enjoy the fluting :-)

No number of fairy god mothers, or altruistic professionals, or Big Brothers in an ncontrolled forum will ever harness the ignorant or destructive wild horses that are free to roam in this uncontrolled forum. You are seekeng a maturity and responsibility that will never occur here.

MOST people who come here are probably coming for all the nonsense rather than for serious information, and the serious questions are probably mostly planted by trolls just to keep things going.

it`s definitely amusing to read the previous entries to this thread. people are so damn ignorant. (i thank Meme`s efforts to educate the masses of band and marching band middle schoolers who seem to think they know everything) this is why i never say that i`m completely positive about anything. but damn....

christine i suggest you stop talking and start doing more playing and researching and not think you nkow everything because the C of which you speak (C4) is definitely not the highest and C5 is to my knowledge not possible. so..."duh?"

What a hoot reading all these, obviously young, flutists ideas of the highest note. Fluteloops - I think you`re right. These kids are getting confused with the term "High"-anything, thinking that if it`s above the staff, then, man, that`s high! I did have a piece in orchestra that required me to play an E, meaning E4, but it was a crap contemporary piece and no one even heard it. If these kids want to learn, then they need to look at Pellerite`s book on modern fingerings for the flute. Although I think seeing all those ledger lines would scare them pretty bad. Honestly, I couldn`t even get the high F (F4) in Pellerite`s book, and the one someone suggests playing at the end of the Ibert Concerto, to come out. Basically, if it`s going to be heinously out of tune, and decalcify the spinal cord of all who hear it, then what`s the point?
