The artist was Mr.Acker Bilk... I am not sure when he wrote it though!

I have a copy of the sheet music but unfortunately I am living in HK and it is in storage in NZ however if you want it in the long term I can arrange that in 12 months when I return home and unpack.

As recently as 17/03 I downloaded "I`m Forever Blowing Bubbles" which is a similar clarinet favourite that I used to play with my Dad on saxapone and me on the clarinet and I wanted it for his funeral.

I`m a very new clarinet player and I don`t really understand how to transpose music - I see the music is written for a piano ...how do I transpose for the clarinet ???

I grew up in Ireland loving Acker Bilk and every year I would travel to England to hear him and Chris Barber. Acker came to my home town one time and me and my buddy sang for him so he could play the Irish Nation Anthem which he had to play before the dance started. Wore a funny uniform. His trumpet named Ken Hicks, I think, gave his autograph combined with the drawing of a trumpet. What memories. The reason I has looking up the song was because it is in Jim Carrey Movie The Majestic. I don`t think the song was around in the period the movie covers. Just nit picking. Patrick Scanlon
