I have been made aware from numerous sources outside of the 8notes environment that my music has been downloaded and performed in public, but I have yet to receive a single direct acknowledgement of this. I would have thought doing so to be just common good manners.

Could it not be made an automatic element within 8notes that the composer be notified of all downloads (what, and by whom)? It is always good to maintain some form of dialogue with 'end users' and it would be relatively easy to send recordings (however basic they may be) of performances of their music to composers - a quick and certain way of improving outputs.

Feedback is vital to the compositional process and I, for one, would be very keen to receive some.
