I have a Gemeinhardt 3SB (solid silver everything with B-foot), I think you should get that one.

For a beginner if you can get a Yamaha or a Gemeinhart. It`s not really practical to start with a solid silver instrument when you don`t know if you`ll stick with it.
Reward yourself later with one as you grow.

I myself would recommend a Yamaha or Armstrong, but you need to play them for yourself. I personally don`t like the sound I make on Gemeinharts, but that`s my preference, and I know they are very popular.

I recommend none of these. I would recommend you visit Jupiter`s website. A wonderful flute at a great price. The tone is great and each flute is hand-set. Website is www.jupiterflutes.com.
