Hello, i have noticed that when i tongue in a staccatto style on my flute, the headjoint moves around probably too much, i tongue on the spot of my mouth that it hits when i say TA. Just so you know. Is this supposed to happen? thanks

I honestly have no idea. I have never heard of a case like that...or that happening.

What do you mean the flute`s moving?

This suggests that you are moving your jaw slightly as you tongue, which will slow your tonguing down. Try to learn to move only your tongue... Look carefully in the mirror while you play.

It`s not acceptable if you do it all the time. I do jaw drop tonguing for effect sometimes when playing in an orchestra, but never with studies.
