i`m thinking about getting a backup flute for the next time mine has to go in for repair (this is getting old...)

i haven`t tried any student models recently, and was wondering what you guys use for backup flutes.

I use a Yamaha 211 with either my extra Sankyo headjoint or the ugraded solid silver CY headjoint (that I got super cheap) and prefer it to any others that I have tried.

Once I upgrade my flute, my current flute will be my backup.

Each time I upgrade I use the old one as my back up and then I give my previous backup to my orchestras instrumnet bank. At the moment I have a Jupiter flute 511 which is great but before I had a Trevor James 10x which is good but it just dosn`t compare to my Jupiter(s)(my opinion). I didn`t mind playing the Tj but I feel it`s more for younger players. I found it easier to play a flute of the same make as the I usually play rather than a different make.
