Hey just wanted to know if any body knows of a good technichal yet melodic solo piece for piccolo. I am about to do a major music exam and have to play four pieces. On flute I am going to play the difficult version of Pachelbel`s Canon in D with cello and piano accompaniment, and Riverdance(a challenging fast piece with lots of jumps). I am also going to play two on piccolo one is Debussy`s Cake Walk from Children Corner and the other I need your help. So any body got any ideas for a good piece I can learn in about two weeks?

Thanks

I recommend any of the Vivaldi piccolo concertos and Rossignol de Opera by Damare.

Look into The Noisy Bird by Louis Balleron for Piccolo and Piano. It`s a semi-long piece, but the rythms are not too challenging and it`s fun to play.
