YES, money is a issue. I was the only one that couldn't go because of money issue in middle school. They were going out of state.. really wanted to go!
THere's a lot of band trips..new york, disneyland.etc. So i'm hoping i could go to one of those. Need to start saving!
THere's this band camp every year in the end of summer. It doesn't cause much...it's probably because it's provided by the school.
oooh, band camps such as interlochen and blue lake is SOOO costly. ALthough, i wish i could go one day...*hopeful eyes*

HAHA! some schools call marching band "military band". My friend's school calls it that. I couldn't stop laughing:D..i thought that was SO FUNNY! although..it is true..heehee:)

Wow, how young does that school start band?? My school didn't start band until 6th Grade, mainly because the education level in that school distict was kind of low.

Same here we started band in 5th grade. Isn't a flute kinda to big for a 1st grader? heehee, and a basson..a trombone? Can't imagine them with such big instruments. Maybe a violin!! Violin comes in all sizes..it's SO CUTE!:D..

They make flutes with curved headjoints so smaller players can play it until they get big enough for a strait head.

OH! I know about curved headjoints and how it's easier for younger players. heehee, but i can't imagine a 1st grader though!:D..maybe 3rd graders..but first? If it's possible then i have a first grader who wants to play flute..

The one time I went to "camp" all we had for entertainment was a hill and a loch. Everyone went skinny dipping and I stayed inside covering my eyes.

OOH FRESHMAN!! i was one last year..but i'm a SOPHOMORE NOW! MMWAAHHHAAHA! i know a BUNCH of freshman..it's going to be fun teasing them around. HAHA! i remember seniors that told my friend all the wrong things when she asked a questions. it's so funny, freshmans would do ANYTHING if you tell them too. ahh..good times^^
It's so tempting!..i guess i'll do stuff to the freshmans i'm really close to

Hello i just got back from my band camp in stanislaus! well here is a story that got all of us FREAKED OUT! i wont say real names so ill make some fake ones up. heres the story. 1st there was a dark guy who was on my friend (who is a girl). she told him she was taken after all the flirting he was doing. he had his up to her face until a sax player defended her. so then the dark guy left. we thought it was all over but it wasnt. later on we were all at the pool together around 7-10pm. the dark guy showed then left then came back and left again. when the girls went to there room a girl YELLED!!!!!! i was just above them with my friends. we thought he was down there so...one of them called us. one of there rooms was trashed badly even though there frond door was locked and there room. her clothes was everywhere. they went to sleep at the living room and so did i wiith my room mates to make sure nothin will go bad down there. the girl that had her room trashed was crying telling everyone i love you to settle down. until they heard a loud BANG! on there door. they had a sofa at their door and it was the staff. later on he started to hang out less with us because we found his drum sticks in the girls room even though he played the beri sax. he never did open the door when we knocked and he always slammed the door on us. camp was crazy! ever since me and my room mates where garding the girls. you never what could of happened to them if they were alone...i got another story wait next message...

AHHH! i can't wait for band camp. it's in 2 months...we pay only about a 100 dollars though. i didn't go last year..so i have no clue how it's going to be! i can't wait..beach.and all. I'll probably be in the beach all the time^^.. OH! and i ca'nt wait for the cute guys. heehee! i hope nothing bad happens like your story..wow. I wouldn't be surprised if that sort of thing happend in my band. Our band is crazy! i mean right before a football game..we had ppl one top of each other partying. CRAZY. Ppl used our b.d's sterio(sp?) and had it full blast. nOW that's crazy..
