2 years ago at band camp we just got done practicing and we was getting ready to try to take a showers well this girl looks at me and said I forgot my clothes I told what do u want me to do about it ? well I got donr with what I was doing and the next thing I heard was this BIG scream! and that dumb girl went into her room with just a towel on and she didnt know that a flute was lying on the bed where she sat down and she had sat on the MOUTHPIEACE!! omg! the girl that owned the flute made her BLEACH IT and I think that they just bought a new mouthpieace ! lol!

we caught 2 kids having sex on the field during lunch one year.... and another we had streakers at dinner. those are the clean ones, too

YES, money is a issue. I was the only one that couldn't go because of money issue in middle school. They were going out of state.. really wanted to go!
THere's a lot of band trips..new york, disneyland.etc. So i'm hoping i could go to one of those. Need to start saving!
THere's this band camp every year in the end of summer. It doesn't cause much...it's probably because it's provided by the school.
oooh, band camps such as interlochen and blue lake is SOOO costly. ALthough, i wish i could go one day...*hopeful eyes*

HAHA! some schools call marching band "military band". My friend's school calls it that. I couldn't stop laughing:D..i thought that was SO FUNNY! although..it is true..heehee:)

band camp is millitary 2 even its only a week! lol !
yea cost is a big thing and our band director is letting us go to Disney World but I dont think that many people are going to show up bc they want I think a 1000to go and if u live in Piketon not many people has that kind of money and I know that I dont! but that is what happened the last time they only had 45 people show up and at the time there were 115 of us and that is not very good!

LOL!
Back when I lived in russia I whnt to military school.
We had band bigining from 1st graid.
But after We whent to band camp the won't let anyone bigining of 3ed graid or under to band camp.
And we wore only 1st graiders.
We had set of Fireworks on Marching feald.
Set a few traps in 5th graid showers.(Both male and Female)
Whell after thet its lucky they steal allow firsgraiders in Marching band.

Wow, how young does that school start band?? My school didn't start band until 6th Grade, mainly because the education level in that school distict was kind of low.

Same here we started band in 5th grade. Isn't a flute kinda to big for a 1st grader? heehee, and a basson..a trombone? Can't imagine them with such big instruments. Maybe a violin!! Violin comes in all sizes..it's SO CUTE!:D..

They make flutes with curved headjoints so smaller players can play it until they get big enough for a strait head.

In Russia you can start band when ever you want.
While School bands start at 1st-2nd graid in most schools.

LOL when I first came to US School.(3ed Graid)
I was surprised School did not have any band or orchestra.
All they had was Geniral music.
But atleast Ther was band beginning 5th graid.

OH! I know about curved headjoints and how it's easier for younger players. heehee, but i can't imagine a 1st grader though!:D..maybe 3rd graders..but first? If it's possible then i have a first grader who wants to play flute..

The one time I went to "camp" all we had for entertainment was a hill and a loch. Everyone went skinny dipping and I stayed inside covering my eyes.
