We're here to enjoy ourselves, share our experiences and to learn more about the wonderful world of music. Most of the time everyone does a great job of this, but just to remind everyone, here are a few ground rules:
No bickering
No 'subtle' innuendos ..'certain people on this forum..' etc etc
No accusing people of being two different people.
No aggressive, abusive behaviour. Again, no innuendo!
No retaliation - if someone is rude or aggressive to you contact me or report the thread - it helps if you write something in the "other" field. DO NOT bring it up in other thread 'you said this to me then, so I'm justified..blah blah'.
There are several members - you know who you are - who are treading a fine line here and getting banned is a real possibility. Now we have logins it's relatively easy to ban people and discover them if they join again. So rather than having to go down that root, please be considerate at all times and do not allow yourself to be provoked by others if they are not.
I'm all for peace, getting along, and respecting others' points of view- that is what a forum is all about.
I am, however, VERY upset by plagiarism. Do you have any rules regarding plagiarism on the forum?
Plagiarism that is not intentional, and subsequently corrected by the original poster, should not be grounds for banning someone from the forum.
False claims of 'this is my original idea/composition', though are a form of theft. If people can come on this forum and present great ideas, that is fabulous, and to a LOT of peoples' benefit. If a person is going to have his idea stolen, and labeled as someone else's, that person is not likely to share on a forum any longer. And that would truly be a shame.
