Has anyone ever watched the show "Made in America" on the travel channel? Well if you haven't its a show where a man travels America and visits the different factories where products are made. You learn about the history of the company and get to see how the items are made. They've covered everything from yankee candles, bach trumpets and steinway pianos. It would be cool to see if they would do a tour of a flute factory. Maybe we can request a topic to the show.
That is so funny that you brought that up! My husband and I were just that show last night and I said that same thing. I mentioned to him that I thought it would be cool if they showed how a flute was made.
The closest thing to that I have seen is last year when I got to tour the Powell factory, they showed me some really impressive stuff. I got to see the different stages of flutes being made. It didn't start from the very beginning though because the top floor was off limits to vistiters and that is where they melt down all the silver and mold it. Still, it was very interesting.
