My school ends in April, closer to the end of the month after exams, but that is a Canadian university.

i started school AGES ago...australia....we're in middle of semester 2/ term 3...end of term three in two weeks, :D....and finish yr 7 a few days before christmas ...woot!

All of the elementary/jr high/high schools that I'm involved with started August 14. We get a week off in October (fall break), 2.5 weeks at Christmas, a week off in March (spring break) and end the school year May 24th.
We also seem to get one Monday off in each of the rest of the months. Even though I like days off it is havoc on my budget since I can not charge for days when I am not providing direct services.

My school starts on September 1st. That's so stupid, because it's friday!!! I mean, who else will start school on friday!??!

For me, too. Very dim. But, the kids go back tomorrow, and I just found out that the rehearsals for the community orchestra that I'm joining start next Thursday night. Yay!
