Hi everyone,
I just came home from the high school that i used to attend christmas concert..i graduated in june...
..I was good tho..those guys really stepped up to the plate... I was dissappionted in the flutes tho there were only two of them in the band..i guess it's because a lot of us graduated like ...6 or 7...
...Ne ways i realised that i liked playing in the S.R.B. Hall..because it's warm...not to cold not to hot..and i get a better sound out of my flute
..In college now the auditorium is so cold!!...In when i had join the college group in high scchool..the night that i played with them was the night the auditorium was offically opened and I was playing on stage and still trembling...during intermission had to sip some red wine to keep warm...
..But It's kind of funny with the audiance..at one time they'll say...'the Concert was GREAT, but it was two HOT'...and at another time the concert Was Great, but it was to COLD....
Every rehersal leading up to the concert which is next week..i'll be thinking I hope it don't be tooo cold!!! I hope it goes well..not nervous or anything...
So which to u prefer WARM or COLD???
I like warm

Personally I prefer for it to be cool. I can deal with any intonational repercussions of coldness, and the temperature doesn't seem to affect my tone (unless the extreme heat dries and cracks my lips or something). Since I'm more comfortable in a cool atmosphere (heck, it's 38 degrees outside, and I have the window open and a fan on), I'd definitely go with cool.

72* and sunny, if given the choice... but I'd rather be a little warm than a little cold. I have poor circulation, so if it's cold, then my hands and fingers get cold and I stiffen up a little. I also don't LIKE cold, so if I am cold, it's a distraction because I keep thinking about it. If it's warm, it seems my flute stays at a more constant temperature, then I don't have to worry about pitch issues. As much...
I always have a tube of blistex spa treatment stuff in my bag if my lips get cracked or dry. For me, out of what I've tried, it works WONDERS when I'm playing if I'm having lip issues. It moisturizes, applies evenly, and doesn't leave a gross residue like chapstick, etc. does. And it comes in several great scents, too! I'm sure the guys will want to rush out and buy some now!

Well the concert was Execellent....It was that cold at all..but we had a slight problem..back stage was like really really warm and on stage was like much much more cooler...some peps intonation wasn't all that at all....but I had lots of fun...and the performaces were great..
