Crikey, there are so many options - do you want slow or fast, baroque or classical, romantic or modern ..... lololol try to narrow the field down a little for me.

I have just had a student do grade 6 with associated board, and i have to say that we both enjoyed looking at Reverie by Caplet. I have a student working on grade 7 with trinity and she's working on the first movement to the Milhaud sonatina which is a fantastic piece.

If you need any adivce please pm me.

I assume your teacher hasn't made any suggestions or you don't like them ...

Its probably worth spending an hour at a good music shop and library to browse flute sheet music and CDs. You obviously want something that you will enjoy playing and can reasonably expect to play well - remembering that you'll have plenty of course work to keep you busy!

There's really a vast range of flute music which you might enjoy and isn't too difficult. You need to check whether the music has to be from the current exam board syllabus or merely of that standard. Many years ago I did 'Krishna' from Roussel's Joueurs de flute

well, i only need a grade 5 piece to get full marks. And im less likely to make mistakes

I was thinking of Dance of the Blessed spirits by Gluck, coz it sounds really nice (and i know i can play it )

But i would kinda like a faster piece coz theyre fun.

My flute teacher hasnt made any suggestions...suppose asking her would be quite helpful!!!

Thank u!!!
