Cherry Coke will contain high fructose corn syrup as well as caffeine. he high fructose corn syrup is sweeter than regular sugar (and really cheap) and can cause a too-strong insulin reaction.
The caffeine is a stimulant.

The hot dogs probably contain some type of nitrate, and quite likely MSG, both of which are neurotoxic. The MSG is an exitotoxin, which means that not just your taste buds are stimulated, but all of your nerves are more sensitive.

Children with attention-deficit problems quite often do very well when taken off of caffeine and msg, no drugs needed. Usually a 'sugar high' is actually a caffeine-and-msg induced state of excitability.

Most people can consume these things with only mild side effects, but I get migraines, and can't have msg or caffeine.

Thats is interesting Tibbie. I just found out that I am insulin resitant and can not have either one. We finally found out where all my weight gain came from. The doc says a year from now I should be back to my normal weight of 135. I am so happy to hear this! It was hard having to give up sugar though because I love pop!

Personally, I think you are trying a little too hard.... the name No Brains sounds kinda silly, no offense..... and u really dont need names for the members in the band... but yeah.... your band name is a little too over thought i think..... and degrading yourself in a name isnt a good way to gain a respectful audience. sry if i seem a little harsh... that was just my opinion.

However, consider that if your post is rather random, it could trigger similar random replies that should be acceptable if measured with same ruler as your post.

I think that time (it's over a year I am here) has shown me that many of us like (or at least accept) considerable drift from the original subject.

The issue of food additives is of course very weakly related with flutes, perhaps only in the problem of migraine and its relation with too much instrument studying or a nearby flute student nuisance like me (as seen/heard by my neighbors) LOL!

MSG is monosodium glutamate, added to most chinese food, Doritos, rice-a-roni, etc.

I mentioned the food additives because they can often overstimulate people, possibly useful advice if you ever have students who come for a lesson too wound-up to concentrate.

My point, I guess, is that the drug caffeine and the nervous system stimulant msg are what flutes-4-ever was on. Also probably a bad case of the gigglies, from which I suffered much as a girl.
