Hi...I am new to the forum...I am looking at upgrading headjoints on my flute and REALLY want some other opinions! I have heard...from a member of the Atlanta Symphony and a good friend who free lances in NY...that Emmanuel headjoints ROCK! Does anyone know anything about this...or could give me more input on other fab headjoints. I play a Sankyo flute and love it and its sound, I just want to play around with tone some. I love to play huge 20th century pieces that push my dynamics. So I need something that I can go soft and loud without sacrificing tone. I also love a bold full sound. ANY input will help! Thank you soooooo much!

Oh yes, Emmanuel headjoint are wonderful! I used to own one. I have spent that last five years testing and buying headjoints, kind of a hobby. I would also check out the Williams with gold riser and Adler wings, they are fantastic and sound more on the lines of what you might be looking for. There are so many incredible headjoints on the market today that what you really should do it try to get to a convention of flute fair and test as many as you can out yourself. There was recently a thread on headjoints that you may want to have a look at.

Welcome to the forum
