I was wondering with the Miyazawa 102 do you get the choice of headjoint? They say that all their flutes come with the choice of headjoint, but they never said anything about them at the music store so we were under the impression there was no choice.
I liked it, but my teacher thought i overblew to easily on it (Im used to a sliver hj, heavy wall flute)and thought that a different headjoint cut might make a difference.
Thanks Kara We went to the music store (i didn't know we were going to go, or i wouldn't have posted here :P) and they said that the 102 does not give the choice..
I did try the 102 with the M5 headjoint, and 14k riser,(along with i think the M7 headjoint and something else.. both i think had silver riser) which i really liked. She is going to set up a time when i can try a 202 and 402 with that headjoint and they will have both the C# trill and D#roller :D (They don't have them there now, but they will get them) I don't know if my mom will really even consider those models though.. wow, lol.
Well maybe if you sound incredible on it and there is a very noticable difference in sound to your Mom, who knows.. maybe she will Just play the models that you don't want really crappy and then pick up the one you do want and play it awesome. lol! I am just kidding of course.
haha :P Actually, Im pretty good at making it VERY obvious when i don't want something XD
I really like the Yamaha's sound.. but i STRONGLY perfer the Miyzawa mechanism :P Also i think that the Miyzawas just play SO much easier.. like its completely effortless..
I really hope i can get the 202 with everything i want.. if she REALLY doesn't want to pay all of it herself, id be willing to pay for some of it.. but i can't get a job until January at least.. :P
