Today I have auditions for an Honor Band and I'm sick. Last year I made it and I got 11th chair, and this year I was hoping(sp?) to get a higher chair. Any suggestions to help me?

just go in an do your best.
if youre sick in a coughing-madly-type way, perhaps try breathing not as deep as you normally might before playing. (that was my problem a couple weeks ago, so it came to mind.)

the reason one has to practice diligently is so that when the big day comes, audition, concert, etc...you are still prepared no matter what is going on...what if you have a big fight with your significant other, or get a parking ticket or the flu...
Try flying 14 hours, having jet lag, then having to play a concert on a cruise ship in 10 foot waves...
