Oh no!!! Not her again Hahaha!! We are all aqainted with her as I believe this was brought up here sometime earlier. Your right, she really does not know what she is talking about and should not be teaching about the flute.

I don't appreciate you guys trashing expert village. They were my primary teachers and, yeah, I didn't turn out that great, but I don't want you guys talking so much smack.
Why do you have to be so mean? Are you that great?

its not that we think were better, its just much of the information this girl tells others is incorrect and could cause major problems in the development of a beginning flutist.
i wish you well in your flute playing, however. good luck and keep practicing.

I love her as if she were my mother. Don't talk smack.
Does it really matter if what she says is incorect? People learning is always good.

Yes, it really does matter if what she says is incorrect. When learning something, would you rather learn it correctly, or incorrectly? Logic dictates to learn it correctly.
It's nice that she's trying to do good, but she needs to get her information straight.

The girl is an idiot on flute and she should not even be touching a flute. Sorry, but true.
If you know this girl, be a real friend and tell her to take her videos off of the net as she is doing a lot of damage trying to teach.

How would I know her? I studied using her videos. She taught me so much. I never had anyone that cared until I found her vids. Now I'm a different player.
Why would you just trash her without watching all of her videos?
So if logical dictates, does that mean that I have no logical? I take amazing offense at you're statement.

Why do you believe that you're training was CORRECT and hers is INCORRECT.
The way you are behaving is INCORRECT and you were obviously mistrained in behaviour. Stop dissing my teacher.
If you made a video I bet it would be jaw droppingly bad with you're attitude problems.

um, did you say that you've been playing for a while?
| I started at age 10. Actually, the night before my 10th birthday my mom gave a me a box with a ribbon and I opened it and it was a flute! So, 9.999 years old. |
|
im going to go out on a limb here and say youre older than 11.
and did you also say you were disappointed in your playing abilities?
| At first I liked the sound of the flute and little by little I started to dislike it. |
|
and
| Don`t think I`m very good, but I try. |
|
do you think that maybe you could be better if you didnt have the bad videos to give credit to your abilities?
hm... most of us that give advice here are professionals or are on our way to becoming professionals. maybe instead of doing exactly what you asked us not to (talking "smack") you should take what we said, digest it, perhaps use it.

So now mbrowne is my new teacher?
Didn't ask for your advice. I have no idea if you are any good, man. You could play like a 4 year old and we would never know. At least my teacher made some videos to show her skills. She is my primary teacher. I never had a teacher until I found her videos. Not everyone can afford expensive-ass lessons.
Why don't you make some videos all you smart people?
You guys are acting like you are so good. How many of you are professionals? That would mean that you make more than 2/3 of your household income from playing concerts. Teaching doesn't count.

actually a professional is defined as anyone who is paid for their services.
i am a flute performance major at university of michigan. its one of the most prestigious music programs in the nation.
i teach on the side. i was a flutist in the 3rd largest symphony in my state until i had to quit due to the far travel from my city.
lessons arent expensive, either. i commend you for even attempting music. but since you now have others telling you and sugesting to you that maybe other sources of online instruction maybe more beneficial, perhaps a second look at your beloved expert village may send you in another direction.
