Anybody here know of some good classical flute solos?
I'm self-taught on the flute, but I want to learn some of the "standard literature" for flute.
Thanks a bunch!
*note: this was posted in the classical music section, but I just realized that the forum looks like it's kinda dead right now, so I figured I'd post it here.

hard question to answer if we don't know your skill level...Handel sonatas are a good place to start

I would record myself playing and put it on YouTube, but I don't have anything to record with. Guess that's something to buy in the near future............

................ in the meantime, how are you with (for example): eighths in "good" keys; eighths in "bad" keys; sixteenths in "good"/"bad" keys ... third octave? Double and/or triple tonguing?
Any preference in terms of musical era and style?

I can't double tongue that well, but I can a bit.
I can play eighths/sixteenths in good and bad keys, depending on the speed of the piece, etc.

Also, I'm learning more notes in the third octave as I go, but I don't play them that often.
