This has been asked several times, but here goes again...

Can we please have some sort of sticky thread?

Do you mean you want the privilege of being able to make threads sticky?

<Added>

We can't even edit our original text, I doubt it's going to happen.

I really think we should have some actice moderators on this site.

Stickies would be a great addition to this site.

No more searching through 8989898 old posts to find the FAQ you need.

IDK I think it has to do with a browser this site is set to. (they need to fix a lot on here)

I personally hate trying to do a search on this forum. It is not user friendly. I usually end up doing a google search.

I support this request for sticky threads.

But Admin does not seem to be paying much attention to our previous requests, so I doubt this one could be taken in account.

Also sticky threads are usually defined or authorized by the site admin or designed moderators, something that we do not have here right now.

Probably easier to just move the members here to a forum with decent facilites and format, such as
http://www.saxontheweb.net/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=138

I do like the format on that site, but I prefer this site as people seem to be more friendly and non clickish

Possibly because there are 19,621 members on that forum, 6,169 of them active. This means there is potentially a wider variety of information presented, and more statements are likely to be challenged. In reality most of them don't go near the flute section.

The downside is that the forum is really for sax players, some of them doubling on flute.

People can still challenge opinions and statements and be nice about it in the process. Nothing wrong with that. Still, very clickish though. Mostly a group of people playing sax that don't know a whole lot about flute in the first place. Not all of course
