Trumpcard, there was a rude post after your own post. It's automatically hidden as many people have flagged that poster as a troll.
The flute is a shepherd's instrument. Women are of course attracted to the instrument and the men that play them <g>.
As far as women flocking the flute versus other instruments, I think it's the melodramatic quality of the flute that attracts women. Like seeks like. :p

Estrogen has nothing to do with it! I am only 14 years old, I play the flute and I'm not !*****!! I HATE it when people look at something as simple as playing an instrument as a way to show someones sexual orientation. For those of you who don't, thanks for appreciating the MUSIC. Those that do, GROW UP.

btw, its those type of people that discourage certain people to take up music, or play a certain instrument. Where did sexual preference even get associated with the instrument that you play??

I agree completely! Although I do like heavy, brass filled bands, flutes really add a certain touch to a piece of music that other instruments cannot.
