I've heard that Burkart made piccolos out of carbon-resin and many flutists have told me that it has the sound of a wood piccolo. If anyone knows anything about this type of piccolo please tell me.

Unfortunately Burkart no longer makes the piccolos anymore. They were called the CRC piccolo.

I tried to find one when I was picc shopping and of course after I bought my wood Burkart I found this one listed on usedflutes.com

They are highly sought after by military bands. I bet this one is already sold too.
