I agree with Ann. The seller is rude for one thing. I have messaged them (nicely)a few times to ask about these flute including where they are made. I always get some snotty response back and they refuse to say where they are made. So, that would mean they are made in China and total crap!

You know, the case cover looks like the same cover style and fake gold script as the DC PRO being sold by good old Dominic. Gee, I wonder...

I'm curious about all of these seemingly insane flute sellers on Ebay. Just from reading his auctions, it's obvious Dominic is a wack job but what about Brian Hinkle and PreachersDisciple? What did they do? And has anyone had an encounter with the seller mmmlllsss (or something) who gold plates everything and guarantees your eyes will pop out of your head when you open the case?

mmmlllsss is a very nice sweet guy. I have done business with him in the past and have always been happy with the transaction.
Preachersdiciple is just a wack job, and a fake. That is putting it nicely. Need I say more? That is a whole other story in itself. I wrote a bit about her on one of my blogs on my myspace page. If you have a myspace page, contact me.

I met Brian, and also trialed his flutes because I was curious about them. I don't know the other gentleman you were referring to, sorry for the confusion.
Preachersdisciple is a wacko, pure and simple.

I have an Armstrong 80BOE that has gold plating and engraving on the lip plate. In three years of use as a back-up flute the plating has begun to wear off. What do you all think about having someone like the guy on ebay re-plate it? There is nothing wrong with the silver, but the gold on the lip plate and crown are wearing through. (Someone told me this was probably sped up by me using a silver polish cloth on the gold.) I guess that is a no-no. Woops.

Yeah, polishing cloths can't be used on plating or it'll wear it off. Oops! Personally, I only go to people whom either I know or who come highly recommended when it comes to my instruments. Who do you typically use for instrument repair?
