Hey y'all! I'm back after a long absence (and was probably a good thing considering that it seems like most of the previous drama is gone).
Wanted to let you know that I uploaded a video of me playing the Liebermann piccolo concerto (3rd movement) on YouTube. It's not very good because I was the last person to play and warmup was before the recital began (and 2 and a half hours later I played). But, I figured it's not absolultey horrible, so I'd share.

Oh, its horrible! especially in the middle of a performance...
And thank you very much. I had a bit of a beef with my pianist as she wasnt speeding up with me at the end (it was alsmot like she forgot and then hurried up and took off). I figured she should realize that, especially since we played this piece together about 3 times before in a performance setting. Oh well. Crap happens, right?
AND THAT FREAKING PIANO HAD SUCH A WHACKED OUT TUNING JOB!!!!!!!! I'm usually very very in tune when playing picc and I ended up editing out 34 seconds of tuning in the beginning! During rehearsal we put a tuner on the stand and played different octaves and it was ridiculous!

I think the youtube phenomenon is a mixed blessing, while it is great to get films of our performances out there, rarely have I heard professional audio to go along with them...so most sound better than is actually portrayed..I have tapes of concerts I have done that have this problem and that's why I don't post them...

I recently tried the piccolo and I'm ok at it. Prefer flute, but love to listen to a good piccolo-er(?).

thank you guys! makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. heh
and i know about the tuning of a piano. ive played piano for about 15 years now. i guess it just hadnt been tuned in a long time so it was all wacky. it was like that for everyone. plus it was really humid out so it messed with my wood.
