If anyone has a random copy of the Nielsen Concerto laying around and willing to loan/sell me, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ASAP!!!!
I need for an audition in August and dont have the freaking $65 to spend on it. I will buy your copy if youre selling for less than $65 including shipping. Yes, I am that desperate. No one I know owns this piece (and for good reason if Flute World is charging nearly $70 including tax!) so I cant borrow from them. I am now resorting to internet and ebay doesnt have it. Amazon is charging $43 for it and even that is a bit rough for my budget.
Let me know!
THANK YOU SO VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!

Here we a couple of public libraries that have lot of printed music and sometimes allow to make copies for students. Check if this is not the case where you are.

Also if you could get a midi for it it would be a very simple matter to make a score out of it.

Most of the libraries in my area dont have sheet music. I've seen a couple of pieces (like Beethoven for piano and I saw the Mozart Concerto in D once) but other than that, they dont have stuff like that. Thanks though!
And about the copy on musicnotes.com, that's RIDICULOUSLY low. It scares me that its that cheap, perhaps its not the same piece? Too bad one cant be sure. If it was only $20 I would buy it in a heartbeat.

If you know some details such as key, movements arrangements, etc, I suggest you contact the musicnotes customer service and ask them to check if the concert they offer may be the same you are looking for. Also you can consult wheteher you could return it with refund in case it was not.
Sometimes these WEB sites have acustomer service that is really willing to help.
I had an experience last year (though with another WEB site); I purchased (downloaded) a long piece and I discovered to my dismay that the movement I was most interested in was absent. So I wrote them and they managed to get the right version and sent it tome (no additional charge).
In any case you lose nothing in trying.
Good luck

I have the flute part with a very reduced orchestral accompaniment. No piano accomp. or full orchestra parts though, sorry.
I am very willing to part with it for free if you are interested. Just let me know.
