I got a new toy.....

I bought a Pearl Alto! Now I need some direction.....=)

The transposition idea makes sense, but I could use a little more reading to completely get into it. Any useful web links?

Also, can any of you recommend practice exercises specifically for Alto? I noticed Trevor Wye has a book out. Any other Alto specific books out there?

I'm guessing it's just like Piccolo and I can play from most of my C flute books. I know it's a dumb question, but are the fingerings pretty much the same?

I was worried initially about lung capacity and filling the air column, but it's not much larger than a couple of my Irish flutes. It has a nice big sound and is very responsive. I'm so excited!
