The repertoire for solo flute is very extensive! I suggest you visit the Fluteworld website (www.fluteworld.com)and look at their sheet music catalogue to get some idea of what's available.

I can understand your whole situation. I had looked for flute solos all over. No one seems to carry them anymore in MI but I did find a titanic solo music for flute at Meyer Music in Holland, MI
