Ok, so I was just going through my collection of flute photos looking for something to find a friend (which, of course, I didn't find!) when I found this folder of pictures that I thought you all may enjoy. I have entitled the following the title of this post. Enjoy!
The flute was an older model Armstrong 103 (found the photos on eBay about a year ago). Someone beat the hell out of the headjoint (or something!), the barrel came off and they stuck it on the body tenon (where the footjoint goes), the G# was bent WAY out there to have been visible from looking at the F# key (key that F presses) AND they stuck the footjoint onto the body where the barrel (piece w/ logo) is SUPPOSED to be soldered on.
Just so you all know... There's a plus side to all of this. We now know that the tubing thickness is the same (or quite similar) on both ends of the body lol! Unfortunately, however, I don't recall if this was from the auction where they said that the flute "still plays" or not. Darn! =) -Suzie
Ok, ok... Back after popular demand are some more photos I remembered I'd stored in a folder. It took a while to find the folder which was suitably titled 'hahaflute'. Enjoy!
OK, now I've officially had my laugh of the day! Those pics are funny! I'm attempting to visualize how I'm going to hold my arms, place my fingers, and "play" this "wonderful" flute...LOL!!! This one reminds me of the late night question asked by a friend of mine years ago at summer camp (we were up VERY late): "What would chairs look like if our legs bent the other direction?"
