An elderly relative of mine has given me two old instruments to sell for him. The first one is an Armstrong piccolo. The only markings I can find are the name with Elkhart under it and the number C4271. I would like to knew the age and if it has any value. The other is a Buescher Silver Clarinet 1927 W/tunable barrel. Serial number is 234835 along with True Tone on the under side. I have very little experience at this type of thing. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Too late now, but as a general rule don't give full serial numbers away on the internet. Some !*****! could try and get a hold of it claiming that it was stolen (how'd THEY know the serial, then, huh?)

Do something like 234***

I believe the Piccolo was made around 1965.
