I'm needing a new flute, my old Geminhardt something-or-other (I didn't buy it, so I don't know much of the details other than nickel body/head, silver plated, offset g, e mechanism, c foot) is way below my level. I am currently looking at the Yamaha YFL-371 and the Azumi 2000RE- Basically their features are the same. Solid silver headjoint (Handmade on the Azumi), silver plated body, offset g, e mechanism (I'm pretty sure), c-foot, open holed keys.
Does anyone have any experience with either of these flutes? Because I'd like to know.

They are both well respected brands, and we all have different tastes, so i would recommend trying them and anything else with those specs in your price range and decide which you like best.

That's what I ended up doing, I got the Azumi. Overall better sound, much richer in the lower register. Works great :D
