I know that my old instructor had a student with a first act flute, and the end kept falling off... Why even bother to buy a first act instrument? Waste of money and materials...

I think my 30 years old M2 Gemeinhardt would be a good candidate, particularly after playing on a Yamaha 674 with a DA Nagahara HJ.
But I feel grateful to this old instrument, it allowed me to start learning and continued working faithfully for some 3-4 years.
So in gratitude I must withdraw its candidature.

easy.. armstrong emeritis. an attempt at a mass produced artist flute. lousy scale. couldn't play it in tune to save my soul.
now I have a murimatsu with a custom built alexander eppler wooden headjoint. sweet.
