Hello!

I am having a go at Borne's Farntaisie Brillante on themes from Bizet's Carmen (arranged for flute and piano) and there is one bar I just cannot do - on the third page there is a bar almost entirely of demi-semi (high) F-E-D#-E-F-E-D#-E etc - v v fast. doing anything other than proper fingerings in the left hand just doesn't seem to work but there is not time to do these! does anyone know of any clever cheats for this bit?

Thanks!

Try these position below. I Try to describe each finger with a letter or number. So T is for the left hand thumb, followed by 1, 2, 3 and 4 (the pinky), and so on.
Each "o" means that the key is NOT pressed by its correspondent finger.

F: T 1 o o o 1 2 o 4
E: T 1 2 o o 1 2 o 4
D#: T 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4

Hope it helps
