You know how in the sax family you have the most popular saxes like soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, bass, and contrabass?

With the clarinet you only have soprano, alto, bass, and contra-bass...why was there no tenor or baritone clarinet ever made?

IF YOU WENT ANY LOWER THAN CONTRA-BASS WOULD IT NOT HAVE THE SAME NOTE RANGE AS A DIFFERENT INSTURMENT LIKE AN OBOE OS BASSOON

if there were tenor clarinet its would be the bass clarinet, are you following, then the baritone would be contralto an the bass would be contrabass but i guess they decided to name it like that and contrabass would be the gingantic octocontrabass of which there is only one of
