My Bb is not coming out right when I use the octave key and the A key it sounds all airy, but comes out fine when i use the A key and the third side key anyone know whats wrong?

try a resonance fingering...
for a long passage you could try using (and this may sound confusing at first)... the A key and the right side key that is second from the top; you can add the Eb key at the bottom if you want to.
if you have to get to the Bb quickly, try using the regular Bb fingering and add the 3rd finger from each hand as well as the C key at the bottom... like this...

My teacher told me that all in all...every single clarinet...the Bb octave key is by far the worst sounding note, no matter if you a student or proffessional player. That note is always the worst because it's 'all open' so to speak, which means the tuning is always wrong. Try using the Bb trill fingering if the sound really bugs u, but it shouldn't really.
