Welcome to contrabass!

I have a couple contrabasses of my own and played in a university wind ensemble, so maybe I can help.

What equipment do you use ... Mouthpiece, model of horn, which reeds? ... Then I'll get back to you. Good Luck!

I have 2 contras... not 6!

Just make sure you get some new reeds. I play on Vandoren "2". They are expensive, so if you must, Rico 3's are good, just get new ones.

probably a Vito horn. Check to make sure the mouthpiece has no scratches or chips on the "table" (flat part).

I'd need to watch you play and check your equipment to see what your problem is. It could be you, or quite possible the horn. If anything on the top half of the horn leaks, you'll have major problems (assuming your reed and mouthpiece are good...and your embouchure too)

Have a repair guy check it out.
