Hey, hey, it isn't nice to make a whole thread that rants off about someone being bigheaded! Just report him instead using the "report this post" button on the top of every post!
____________

Phil, your point that nobody can play 32nd notes... I'm afraid it's wrong. Trills (AKA shakes) are composed of 32nd notes as well as turns (AKA grupettos), mordents, and glissandos. I'm sure I left out some other ornaments, but you get the point.

Also, mistakes aren't for weak people. Everyone makes them. However if you mean constant mistakes as a result of laziness and indesire to practice, yeah that's weak.

<Added>

Note: occasional mistakes are okay. Just to clarify.

Well, if you are going to report me make sure to mention that you hate me because I am much much much better than you at the clarinet. Your jealousy is nausiating.

Go and practice and stop trying to come around threatening people, trying to make yourself feel big and bad.

Good luck with that practice.

No one can actually play 32nd notes, they just fake them. Look it up. None of the pros I know can play them and you are probably just lying to yourself if you think you are actually achieving this impossible goal.

Get bent,
Phil

I remember, I remember....
When I used to read car/motoring magazines, there was a regular column written by someone having similar characteristics.
In fact it was all a sham. The mag journalists used to take turns writing the column.

Best response is... none.
Just totally ignore him as if his posts didn't exist.

Errrr... Phil who?

This is very disturbing. You guys are a bunch of know-nothing spazzes.

Trills are not made up of 32nd notes! By the way, neither are turns (what the crap is a grupetto?) or mordents. A glissando is a pitch bend that goes from one note and ending at another. Where the crap are the 32nd notes in that?!?!?

Trills are not ever called "shakes". I'm in shock and udder disbelief that you can actually believe any of the garbage that you type.

I recommend that you see a doctor about a possible fecal-lobotomy. Looks like you have a turd lodged in your skull that is making you type strange things.

I was reading through this thread and before I was half way through I was falling of my seat with laughter. Not only is this Phil chap very clever he's playing on your emotions admirebly. I admit it is most defenatly not a nice thing to do but he's probably getting great satisfaction from it and to him your replies to his posts, and the way you argue over him, is probably very funny. Put yourself in his place, and in what you believe is his personality and see the humour of the situation. Phil, I've got some advice for you. Drop the clarinet or whatever you're doing and write things for the newspaper or go on the radio or something. You have amazing talent in areas which deal with people. Can't wait to hear your reply to this because I'll be dissapointed if it's not what I've reckoned you'll say, something to annoy me or others on the thread. You really are a genius but not with music, with controlling people.

And just to let everyone know I don't like this guy anymore than you do and besides this post I'm saying everything you've already said to him. And Phil, though you're very good at it, it's not good,or nice, to play without other people's emotions too much or you'll end up making a habit of it and it will come out in your relationdship with your friends, family ect. Just be careful.

I agree with so many points here.

One thing is for sure, practicing is for the weak (and those that need it). I DON"T need practice and already play better than a machine so why would I ever need to improve on that?

It will be a long time before the clarinet world finally produces one that will better my skills. If I practiced it wouldn't probably do that much:

4 + Infinity still equals infinity.

According to my calculations the change would be imperceptible.

I prefer to spend my time refining my senses with a good house wine and some Gorgonzola.
