Hi, so i was wondering about the quality of my clarinet. It is over 25 years old (it was my mother"s), and I think it is a Vito brand instrument. Is this a good brand of clarinet? I always wanted to know if it was or not.
if you can find the serial number on the instrument, you may be able to look it up online and find out the model, which will be more useful for finding out anything about it.
Vito is a series of clarinet manufactured by the Leblanc Corporation in honor of one of their former executives, Vito Pascucci. It is a plastic instrument meant for beginning students. It's about half way through the spectrum (speaking in quality) for beginning instruments.
according to this list http://www.saxmaniax.com/snclarinet.htm#SNLeblanc
that clarinet was made in 1978 or 1994, they seem to repeat numbers. which is weird. assuming i'm reading the list correctly.
