Join our volunteer community band in northern NJ and have fun playing! We welcome all ages and skill levels. The Saddle River Valley Concert Band has been in existence since 1972. Rehearsals are every Wednesday evening from 8:00-10:00.
The band website is www.srvcb.org with up to date concert and rehearsal information. We have an extensive music library of over 500 arrangements which include marches, show tunes, classical pieces and just about every concert band staple piece you can think of. We have about 15-20 concerts per year which include playing at town or school concert series, graduations, tree-lightings or just about any place where people will listen to us. The band consists of about 40 musicians. A few are music teachers and professional musicians but most of us are 9-5ers that do something else for our day job. There are no try outs so just come in, introduce yourself to our conductor Harley Streiff and grab a library folder to read off. If you're interested in becoming a member we'll make a folder for you in the weeks to follow.

I may be willing to re-locate but I would need substantial compensation. From my reputation you obviously won't need me to audition so we can get down to business right away here. I may be willing for about $175,000 a year.
it's ok phil, with your ability, you might be able to sit with a third grader so you can learn the meaning of playing an instrument!
