The case says Buffet Crampon, but the actual clarinet says "Lafayette" and "Paris" on the bell. The serial number is H20620, and there is a small star before the H. Every joint says "made in france". I can't tell if it is wood or plastic with simulated wood grains, but I'm pretty sure its wood.
I just bought it from a thift store for $60 and it seems like it plays well enough (can you tell I know nothing about clarinets?) and I would like to know anything that yall know about it.
i have a clarinet that has an H before all of the serial numbers as well. Mine is plastic but i believe buffet made both wood and plastic with the H designation. I dont believe they make them anymore but you can equivilate them to a B12 or somewhere around there
it may be junk but then it could be realy good at a low price. The insturments at wallmart, sams, cosco are 90$ and also junk that means the simba brand.
The inscription is faded, but it definitely is not Evette. I am 90% sure it says lafayette. But it looks like the mouthpiece is a vandoren 5RV, which was probably worth the $60.
