my bass doesn't have a name. in middle school all of the ones i used (two per year, so four) had names, then in freshman year i got a high school bass, and thinking it would be mine all four years, spent a long time picking the perfect name.
then the kid who had the low C bass graduated, and i snatched the opportunity to claim it.
and i don't want to give it an inferior name, as it is an amazingly superior horn.
I didn't know we should name our clarinets....However, the idea is awsome....I have a Bb and it is purple my favorite color so maybe I'll call it Lilic. If you have any ideas please send them to me.
My last clarinet (a Buffet E13) was called Arthur, after King Arthur.
The one I have now (Buffet RC) is called Alexander (the Great, Glazunov, Skrjabin, ...).
But next week I'm receiving a set of Selmer Signatures (Bb and A) and I'm still looking for the perfect names, as this instruments are going to be the first clarinets that I own for myself.
I'm looking for normal boysnames that have something musical in them. The only names I can think of are (the Dutch names) Bas and Remy.
