Hi folks. I hope someone on here could help me.
I'm an intermediate-level Clarinet player, currently use a Clark Fobes debut mouthpiece. I have problems with pressure inside my head when I blow the horn, so I need to find a free-blowing mouthpiece.
Can someone here recommend a good quality free-blowing mouthpiece.
There are so many brands and claims out there that it's totally confusing.
thanks

Try http://www.runyonproducts.com/article.clar3.html for info about the design of mouthpieces and what they do. Also Conn Selmer Inc., for diagrams and info on many makes of mouthpieces. I recently bought a Rico Royal B5, Medium open. Blows much, much, easier that my old "no name" one. I am a singer also and for Clarinet I have too much air and find it hard to get rid of it or take shallow breaths. My teacher suggested a Rico No.1 reed also. This helped.
