Hello everyone! I just ordered a regular Bonade ligature from my the Woodwind & Brasswind website last week. Because I hadn't put any sort of express shipping on my ligature, I was expecting it to come in about a week later. Well, my ligature came in today and needless to say it looks as if someone man-handled it. I just knew something was wrong with it when I took it out of it's case. I tried it on to my mouthpiece and really discovered how horribly distorted my ligature was. There is a huge gap between the mouthpiece and one side of the ligature. It almost seems as if someone in the warehouse had accidentally bent the ligature and then tried to press it back into shape. I'll post some pictures so you all can see. I plan to contact wwbw tomorrow morning seeing as how they were closed when I got off of work to discover my damaged product.

Try tightening it on the round metal part of a hammer? I did that to fix a smooshed clarinet lyre ring once and it worked. Or send it back?

Best to send it back. I've never had success trying to straighten out a ligature. One of the first things I used to tell my beginners was never step on it! They shoud send you a new one-hey, I know how much they cost as I lost mine recently.
