Ive been playing a Bflat clarinet for a couple of months at school now and ive started to notice that as i get to the, as I would call, advanced notes, they are harder to create a noise, any tips?
For example the C note (third space) and the B natural (line right below) as well as their lower paralells do not make a noise all the time. I would have to readjust my fingers and blow again to make a sound which is not practical when playing a song.
Sorry for the bad explanations, Im not that good at music.
the fact that you have to readjust your fingers to get them out suggests to me that your fingers are not fully covering the holes. if air is leaking, it could be interfereing with the note production. trying being careful about fully covering teh openings with your fingers when you first put them down.
well I make sure that I cover the holes properly and still noise comes out only sometimes. when the noise doesnt produce, it seems harder to blow through... if that helps at all with the soloution...
