Hi,
I've been playing Clarinet for about a year. My left thumb joint is sore & achy from pressing the Register Key. I also have very short fingers. What can I do to fix this?
Thanks.

Maybe the thumb end of the register key is set too high. It should be adjusted so that, with a thin piece of silencing cork under it, the pad opens about 2mm. This is something a technician can sort out in about 5 minutes.

Can offer no remedy for short fingers
