Hey guys, this is my new 8notes account, my old one was repjm,
but anyway, I play the school's VITO ResoTone Bass Clarinet, and the screw that holds the neck into the body has broken off, and the main body of the screw is stuck in the place where it screws in, how should I go about removing it?

Same thing happened on my Vito bass a year or two ago. To get the broken off threaded part out of the socket I took a piece of metal rod, just less than 1/8 inch (3 mm)diameter, put a dab of superglue on the end of it and very carefully touched it to the broken bit in the instrument. I held it for about two minutes and then turned it anticlockwise to withdraw the broken screw. Superglue sets really fast but it may take two or three tries. If you cannot find a suitable metal rod, get a nail, saw the point off and file the end flat, that's what I did. Good luck, and let us know how you get on.
