I just completed repair on a wood clarinet that says "lafayette" and "Paris" on the bell. The serial number is I11364, . Every joint says "made in france". I am looking for more info about the instrument and the manufacturer. Anyone out there that can tell me more about the Lafayette name and what the "I" before the serial number may represents? thank you

Lafayette was a trade name used by Couesnon. I don't know what their dates were.
