Hi.
I am 12 years old and have played clarinet for about two years. I am fairly advanced on it. I would like to know what the right time is to get a wooden clarinet and if there are any good ones under 2000 dollars.

Thanks.

http://www.amazon.com/Buffet-Crampon-E11-Bb-Clarinet/dp/B0063EUBXS is a fine clarinet for your level that is wood and from reliable company's with a warranty.

A wooden clarinet is definitely a step up and one in the right direction. The next level clarinet after the E11 is the R13 and you will have to go used to get it under $2000. But it is a wonderful instrument...the standard for professionals.

Hope that helps.

Good luck.
