Hi...we`re playing Crown Him with Many Crowns (A hymn) and anyway in two places it has a2 above a note. Does anyone know what it means? Thanks.

a2 means everybody comes in, before there probalbly is a solo passage, a2 also means "tutti", or everybody playing
