No offence to anybody that doesn`t but why do oboe players think that flute, clarinet and everyone else hates them!?!? It think your just being slightly paranoid. In our orchestra oboe is definetly one of the best instruments (from a flute and piccolo point of veiw) with the coolest sound. The people that play it always seem to be sooo laid back and cool about everything. Anyway just stating the fact that PEOPLE DO NOT HATE OBOES

Flutes are the best!!! People tend to hate oboes because of their sound. They sound like a baby moose trying to get it`s foot unstuck from the mud. LOL.

I play a load of instruments but if I could play any other one it would definetley be the oboe. How can people say it sounds bad it has such a unique sound that is one of the most amazing ones you`ll ever hear.
God I love the oboe.......I really wish I could play it. Anyway just to finish off by saying PEOPLE DO NOT HATE THE OBOE OR THE PLASYERS

Ahaha, nice point... but I`m an oboe player and I do admit, I`m not very fond of the other oboe players. Sadly, we had 3 oboe players, me one of them, but now there`s 2 because I switched. The other 2 are horrifying, even though they played for a whole year last year... you`d think they`d start sounding nicer, but no... anyways, I have nothing against them, just their playing...
